Controls Specialist – Automation Projects

We’re looking for a Controls Specialist to support a large-scale automation project in the automotive sector. This role involves PLC programming, system commissioning, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement control systems based on project specs

• Program and integrate PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems

• Support equipment commissioning and performance testing

• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to reduce downtime

• Optimize control logic for safety and efficiency

• Maintain system documentation, including schematics and software versions

• Provide technical support and training to onsite teams

• Stay current with new technologies and best practices in automation

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and control systems

• Skilled in ladder logic, function block, and structured text programming

• Familiar with HMI/SCADA tools (e.g., FactoryTalk, WinCC, Wonderware)

• Working knowledge of industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet)

• Understanding of safety standards like NFPA 70E and ISA-95

• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

• Willingness to travel for installation and commissioning work
