Business Development Manager – Meat Industry (Chicago-Based)

We’re growing—and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager with a passion for sales and deep experience in the meat industry. This is a high-impact, hunter-style role focused solely on new business acquisition. What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Identifying, targeting, and securing new foodservice customers (from small distributors to large-scale buyers)

Building a robust pipeline and driving prospects through the full sales cycle—from initial contact to closed business

Executing consistent, high-quality follow-up to ensure strong conversion and long-term success

Developing business opportunities specifically around fresh/raw meat products—particularly pork, beef, and potentially chicken

Helping shape and build out our steak-cutting business, with strong input from your own experience and expertise
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience selling fresh/raw meat products, ideally across multiple proteins

A track record of success selling into the foodservice channel, working with clients ranging from small independent buyers to large-scale distributors (8 to 80 in size)

A true hunter—someone energized by cold outreach, new conversations, and building something from nothing

A closer—you don’t just start the deal, you finish it, with detailed follow-through and clear execution

Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com (SFDC) and comfort using it daily to manage pipeline and customer activity

A background in steak cutting or steak program development is a major plus
