Risk Management Lead (Technical Security)
Our client, a leader in financial technology infrastructure, is seeking a Risk Management Lead to help strengthen their security position across complex, cloud-based systems. This is a strategic, mid-career role focused on identifying and mitigating technical risks in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and prioritize security risks across infrastructure, cloud services, and applications.
- Translate vulnerabilities and threat intelligence into actionable remediation plans.
- Guide secure architecture decisions and partner with engineering teams on implementation.
- Maintain security roadmaps, control frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
- Own the risk register and support internal audits, exercises, and awareness programs.
- Lead incident response efforts and third-party security assessments.
Ideal Background:
- Experience with cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, containers, microservices).
- Strong grasp of secure architecture, resiliency, and DevSecOps practices.
- Comfort navigating regulatory frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
- Proven ability to communicate technical risk to diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools is a plus.
- Security certifications are beneficial but not required.
