Our client, a multi-site manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Director of Procurement to lead sourcing, purchasing, and supplier strategy across multiple facilities. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for driving cost efficiency, supply continuity, and strategic alignment across the enterprise.

Role Overview

This position provides enterprise-level leadership over procurement activities, ensuring alignment between sourcing strategies and broader business objectives. The role partners closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to support operational performance, risk management, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies focused on cost control, quality, and supply reliability
• Oversee sourcing of raw materials, components, packaging, and capital-related purchases
• Lead purchasing operations across multiple production sites
• Build and manage supplier relationships while negotiating contracts and optimizing cost structures
• Implement standardized procurement processes and governance across locations
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and technical teams to align sourcing with business needs
• Drive supplier performance management and risk mitigation strategies
• Lead and develop a distributed procurement team
• Utilize data and analytics to monitor spend, identify opportunities, and improve decision-making
• Support compliance with relevant regulatory and quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives within sourcing

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in procurement or sourcing leadership
• Proven experience managing procurement across multiple locations
• Strong background in contract negotiation, supplier management, and category strategy
• Experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; advanced degree preferred
• Strong financial and analytical skills with a focus on measurable results
• Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems
