Computer Vision Engineer
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to develop and deploy vision-based systems for complex automated equipment. This role will focus on building reliable perception capabilities and integrating them into real-time systems operating in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities

Develop computer vision and image-processing algorithms for detection, classification, segmentation, tracking, and measurement.

Process and analyze data from cameras and other sensing technologies.

Develop solutions that perform reliably under changing environmental and operating conditions.

Integrate imaging hardware and vision software with larger automated systems.

Develop and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models for visual perception applications.

Prepare, organize, and analyze datasets used for model development and validation.

Optimize algorithms for real-time and resource-constrained deployment.

Test, validate, and troubleshoot vision systems in laboratory and real-world environments.

Establish performance metrics and validation procedures.

Collaborate with software, electrical, mechanical, controls, and systems engineers on integrated solutions.

Maintain technical documentation covering development, testing, and system configuration.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.

5+ years of experience developing computer vision, machine learning, or related systems.

Strong knowledge of image processing and visual perception techniques.

Experience developing and deploying machine learning or deep learning models.

Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or both.

Experience with common computer vision and machine learning frameworks.

Experience working in Linux-based development environments and version-control systems.

Familiarity with cameras, imaging systems, calibration, or related sensing technologies.

Experience deploying algorithms in real-time, embedded, or edge-computing environments preferred.

Experience applying computer vision to automated equipment, robotics, or other physical systems preferred.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
