Business Development Manager – Automation Solutions
Location: Southeast US or Remote

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth around engineered automation solutions. This is not a transactional sales role. The focus is on identifying complex customer needs and building full system solutions that go beyond standard sensor offerings.

You will work closely with sales and engineering teams to target high-value accounts, engage senior stakeholders, and develop solution-based opportunities from concept through execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and target accounts where full automation solutions can be developed, including scan tunnels and custom engineered systems
  • Prospect and engage key decision makers, including engineering leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Lead discovery conversations and present solution capabilities aligned to customer needs and budgets
  • Partner with internal sales and engineering teams to develop proposals and drive projects forward
  • Coordinate with global resources on strategic accounts when needed
  • Ensure projects are executed in line with customer expectations
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking within CRM

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. Associate degree with strong experience will be considered
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in automation sales, with a focus on solutions or services
  • Strong understanding of machine automation, including sensors, PLCs, drives, HMIs, and related components
  • Experience selling full integration or engineered solutions
  • Ability to sell into senior leadership and executive level stakeholders

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary up to $130,000
  • Bonus potential up to $39,000 based on performance and objectives
  • Car allowance
  • Full benefits package including health insurance and 401k
