JOB OVERVIEW
As a Controls Engineer, you will join a project team delivering automation projects to customers. Your primary job functions will include:
- Designing, developing, and documenting systems that meet customer requirements
- Leading project teams to ensure quality deliverables
- Communicating with customers, both in the office and on-site, to present your work and develop solutions
- Traveling to customer sites to implement and test project deliverables
- Meeting with project managers, subject matter experts, and business leadership to assess project status and determine the most effective path forward
- Mentoring fellow engineers on control concepts and project methodologies

PREFERRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Bioengineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of experience with control systems in manufacturing industries
- Experience configuring PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and/or MES applications
- Understanding of process control or manufacturing processes
- Proven experience delivering projects to successful completion
- Ability to manage a project through its full lifecycle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in business software (MS Office)
- Professional, positive demeanor
- Flexible and cooperative working style
- Willingness to work off-hours when required
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to complete drug testing and/or background checks as required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT)
- Certifications from industry technology partners
