Regional Sales Manager – Gulf Coast
Our client, a well-established manufacturer of industrial process instrumentation solutions, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales growth across a strategic Gulf Coast territory.
This role is focused on driving bookings growth through a network of manufacturer representatives, distributors, OEMs, and key end users. The successful candidate will serve as the primary commercial and technical resource for the region, supporting channel partners while identifying new opportunities across both traditional and emerging industrial markets.
The territory currently generates approximately $5M–$7M annually and offers significant opportunity for continued growth. This position is open due to an internal promotion.
Territory & Travel

Territory includes East Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, portions of Georgia and Tennessee, and Oklahoma
-
Approximately 50% travel
-
Primarily Gulf Coast-focused with most travel being driveable within the territory
Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop relationships with 8 manufacturer representative organizations

Support distributors and channel partners through training, joint customer visits, and technical expertise
-
Drive territory growth through strategic account development and new business opportunities

Manage select direct accounts and OEM relationships

Conduct product training sessions, technical presentations, and customer demonstrations

Identify growth opportunities beyond traditional oil & gas markets

Maintain strong relationships throughout the distribution and representative network

Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs and territory objectives

Ideal Background
-
5+ years of technical sales experience within process instrumentation or industrial automation
-
Experience with pressure, level, flow, temperature, or related measurement technologies
-
Strong instrumentation and application knowledge, including process controls and industrial communications
-
Experience managing distributors, manufacturer representatives, or channel partners
-
Background with a manufacturer, distributor, manufacturer’s representative firm, or customer-facing applications role
-
Experience supporting customers in refining, petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, power, or related process industries
-
Strong relationship-building and territory management skills
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $125,000–$135,000

Target bonus: 30%
-
Typical earnings: $160,000–$175,000+

Bonus tied directly to territory bookings and quota attainment
