Outside Sales Representative – Commercial & Industrial PVF
Location: Huntsville, Alabama
A well-established pipe, valve, fitting (PVF), and plumbing distributor is seeking an Outside Sales Representative based in the Huntsville area to develop and grow business across North Alabama.
This role focuses on building relationships with industrial facilities, commercial contractors, mechanical contractors, and maintenance teams by providing critical piping, plumbing, and flow control solutions that keep projects moving and facilities operating efficiently.
The company has built a strong reputation throughout the region by combining deep inventory, responsive customer service, and technical expertise. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a growing territory while becoming a trusted resource to customers across the Huntsville market and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow an established territory in the Huntsville, AL market

Develop relationships with contractors, maintenance managers, plant engineers, and purchasing teams

Identify new business opportunities within commercial construction, manufacturing, and industrial facilities
-
Conduct regular customer visits to support product selection, applications, and ongoing service needs
-
Partner closely with inside sales and operations teams to ensure exceptional customer support

Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and quoting through project completion and ongoing account development

Pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF)

Commercial and industrial plumbing products

Industrial valves and flow control solutions

Pipe supports and accessories

Flanges, gaskets, fasteners, and related piping components

Mechanical contractor and facility maintenance solutions
Qualifications
-
3+ years of outside sales experience in industrial distribution, plumbing distribution, PVF, or manufacturing
-
Experience selling PVF, plumbing, mechanical, or related construction products strongly preferred
-
Comfortable calling on contractors, plant managers, maintenance teams, engineers, and purchasing personnel
-
Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills

Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently

Familiarity with the Huntsville and North Alabama market preferred
