EPC Business Development Manager – East Coast

Our client, a privately held global manufacturer of industrial instrumentation and measurement solutions, is seeking an EPC Business Development Manager to drive growth across strategic Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) accounts supporting large-scale capital projects throughout the Eastern United States.

This remote, field-based role focuses on developing relationships with leading EPC firms, influencing specifications, and positioning solutions early in the project lifecycle. The position will play a key role in expanding market share across Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Data Centers, Semiconductors, and other capital-intensive industries.

This is a highly visible, project-focused sales role requiring a blend of business development, commercial strategy, technical sales, and stakeholder management.

Location & Travel

  • Remote – East Coast candidates only.

  • Candidates located near a major airport strongly preferred

  • Territory responsibility across the Eastern United States

  • Typical travel: 25–35%, occasionally up to 45%

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow relationships with major EPC firms, licensors, OEMs, and end users

  • Identify and pursue project opportunities from early awareness through RFQ and award

  • Influence specifications and position solutions throughout the project lifecycle

  • Coordinate internal and external resources to support project pursuit activities

  • Develop commercial strategies, proposals, and negotiation plans for complex projects

  • Manage multiple project opportunities simultaneously while maintaining accurate pipeline visibility

  • Partner closely with engineering, proposal, legal, inside sales, and project execution teams

  • Maintain long-term customer relationships throughout project execution and future project opportunities

Ideal Background

  • 4+ years of experience selling complex, long-cycle technical solutions to EPC organizations

  • Strong understanding of capital project sales within Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or related industrial markets

  • Experience working with EPC firms, licensors, OEMs, and end users throughout the project lifecycle

  • Background in instrumentation preferred; experience with valves, controls, rotating equipment, piping, or related technologies will also be considered

  • Strong proposal development, commercial strategy, negotiation, and relationship management skills

  • Engineering or technical degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in fast-paced project environments

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $120,000–$140,000

  • 25% annual bonus opportunity tied to individual performance and company EBITDA goals
