Overview

Our client is seeking a senior-level commercial baking expert to provide strategic and operational guidance on a consulting basis. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, offering expertise in large-scale bakery manufacturing, ingredient functionality, production efficiency, and process optimization.

Ideal Background

Candidates may have held roles such as:

• CEO, VP Operations, VP Manufacturing, Plant Leader, or Industry Consultant

• Extensive experience in commercial baking operations

• Strong understanding of flour functionality, dough systems, ingredient management, and production processes

• Proven success improving yield, reducing waste, and optimizing plant performance

• Well-established network within the commercial baking industry

Responsibilities

• Advise leadership on bakery operations, manufacturing challenges, and industry trends

• Provide insight into production variability, ingredient performance, and process improvement opportunities

• Participate in strategy discussions, technical reviews, and occasional customer meetings

• Share industry contacts and market knowledge when appropriate

Engagement Details

• Independent consulting engagement (1099 preferred)

• Flexible, part-time commitment

• Ongoing advisory role with occasional travel

• Hourly compensation based on experience and expertise
