Our client, a fast-growing player in the automation and robotics space, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead a high-performing technical team focused on developing and deploying advanced control systems for industrial applications. This is a hands-on leadership role driving execution, delivery, and team performance in a complex engineering environment.

Role Overview

This position oversees a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring alignment between technical development, business priorities, and deployment timelines. The role requires a strong operator—someone who can drive accountability, maintain momentum, and deliver high-quality systems in fast-paced, real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Execution

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software and quality engineers
• Set clear performance expectations and drive a culture of accountability and ownership
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and career development support
• Establish high standards for technical execution and delivery

Program & Delivery Management

• Own planning, prioritization, and execution of engineering initiatives
• Translate business objectives into actionable roadmaps and sprint plans
• Ensure timely delivery of production-ready, high-performance systems
• Identify risks early and remove blockers to maintain team velocity

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering, hardware, and deployment teams to align on priorities and timelines
• Facilitate design reviews, sprint ceremonies, and release planning
• Coordinate resources to support successful system rollouts and field implementations

Quality & Operational Excellence

• Oversee quality and validation strategies for complex, real-time systems
• Implement processes that balance speed with reliability and performance
• Drive best practices in testing, verification, and system benchmarking

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams in robotics, embedded systems, or similar environments
• Proven experience managing cross-functional engineering teams (software and QA)
• Strong understanding of real-time systems, control logic, and complex software architectures
• Experience working with systems-level programming languages (e.g., C++ or similar)
• Track record of delivering complex, production-grade systems in fast-paced settings
• Familiarity with Agile or iterative development methodologies
