Systems Architect

We are partnering with a global industrial technology organization seeking a Systems Architect to lead the long-term architecture and technology roadmap for a portfolio of advanced machine vision and industrial inspection platforms.
This is a highly visible senior R&D leadership role focused on building scalable next-generation vision systems deployed across demanding manufacturing environments including metals, plastics, and high-speed industrial processing applications. The organization is investing heavily in the evolution of its platform architecture as it expands deeper into embedded AI, edge computing, sensor fusion, and real-time industrial analytics.
This individual will operate as both a hands-on technical leader and strategic architect, helping define how future intelligent inspection systems are designed, deployed, and scaled globally.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead architecture strategy across a portfolio of industrial vision and inspection platforms
- Define long-term software, hardware, and systems roadmaps
- Drive modernization of legacy systems into scalable next-generation platforms
- Architect embedded AI and machine vision solutions deployed in real-world production environments
- Work across cameras, sensors, FPGA, GPU, Jetson, and edge-computing technologies
- Partner with software, hardware, product management, and operations teams globally
- Evaluate evolving technologies, operating systems, and deployment strategies
- Influence future direction around AI, machine learning, Industry 4.0, and intelligent manufacturing
- Guide engineering organizations on development standards, CI/CD practices, deployment strategy, and scalable architecture
- Serve as a technical thought leader internally and externally within the industry
What They’re Looking For
- Strong systems architecture background within machine vision, industrial inspection, embedded systems, or intelligent automation
- Experience building and deploying production-level vision systems at scale
- Deep understanding of embedded AI, real-time systems, and sensor integration
- Background working with machine vision platforms, image processing systems, or industrial automation environments
- Experience with GPU acceleration, NVIDIA Jetson, FPGA, edge AI, or related technologies is highly valued
- Ability to operate at both strategic architecture and hands-on technical levels
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence technical direction across teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a builder mentality
- Comfortable operating in evolving and ambiguous technical environments
