Regional Sales Manager – Hydraulics (Central U.S.)
Our client, a privately held, family-owned global manufacturer of high-performance hydraulic components and systems, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow their Central U.S. distribution network.
With over 70 years of engineering expertise, the company is known for delivering rugged, reliable, long-life hydraulic solutions across both mobile and industrial applications. This role is focused on driving growth through distributor partnerships, strengthening market presence, and supporting customers across a technically demanding product portfolio.
This is a field-based, strategic sales role centered on distributor development, joint selling, and long-term territory growth.
Territory
- Central United States
- Responsible for managing and developing 9 distributor partners
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth through a distribution-focused sales model
- Build and execute strategic business plans with distributor partners
- Conduct joint sales calls and customer visits
- Deliver product, application, and portal training to distributors and end users
- Support pricing, forecasting, and territory planning
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking in Salesforce
- Collaborate cross-functionally with inside sales, engineering, marketing, and service teams
Ideal Background
- Proven field sales experience within fluid power / hydraulics
- Experience managing and growing distribution networks
- Comfortable delivering both technical and commercial training
- Strong planning and execution skills within a territory-based sales model
- Proficient with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
- Willingness to travel approximately 50%
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $100K–$130K
- Bonus: $15K–$30K uncapped + $20K guaranteed in year one
