Distribution Account Manager
Location: Houston, Texas
Our client, a privately held global manufacturer of industrial measurement and instrumentation solutions, is seeking a Distribution Account Manager to drive growth across a strategic distributor and reseller network throughout the Gulf Coast region.
This role is focused on developing and executing channel growth strategies, strengthening distributor relationships, and expanding market share through both distribution and direct sales efforts. The successful candidate will serve as the primary commercial resource for key channel partners while supporting national accounts, EPC initiatives, and target account development programs.
This is a highly visible role that combines distribution management, business development, strategic account growth, and technical sales support.

Territory includes distributor, reseller, and strategic account coverage within the assigned region
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement mutually agreed-upon business plans with distributors and resellers
-
Drive revenue growth through existing channel partners while identifying new distribution opportunities

Establish and pursue target account programs through both channel and direct sales efforts

Conduct joint sales calls with distributors and resellers to support strategic opportunities

Coordinate EPC-related activities within the assigned region

Support key national and global account initiatives at the regional level

Provide product training and commercial support to channel partners

Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline activity, and opportunity tracking
-
Monitor market conditions and provide competitive intelligence regarding pricing, products, and distribution strategies

Participate in national, regional, and local industry trade shows and customer events

Ideal Background
-
3–15 years of industrial sales, engineering, marketing, or technical experience
-
Proven success managing distributors, resellers, or multi-channel sales organizations
-
Experience selling industrial instrumentation, automation, process control, or related technologies preferred

Strong relationship-building and account management skills
-
Experience supporting both direct sales and distribution channels
-
Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
-
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred

Base Salary: $110-115K plus 40-120% bonus
