Our client, a large-scale food production organization within the protein processing sector, is seeking a Director of Plant Operations to provide leadership across a high-volume manufacturing facility. This is a newly established role designed to strengthen operational oversight and support site-level performance and consistency.

Role Overview

This position serves as a senior operational leader within a single facility, working closely with plant leadership to drive execution, accountability, and continuous improvement. The role is focused on ensuring day-to-day operations run efficiently while reinforcing standards, processes, and performance expectations across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight across all plant departments
• Partner with plant leadership to ensure operational alignment and execution
• Drive consistency in processes, output, and performance across the facility
• Support and guide department leaders in achieving production and efficiency targets
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, productivity, and operational discipline
• Act as a key point of accountability for plant performance and operational outcomes
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and within day-to-day operations

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in high-volume food production environments
• Strong background in protein processing operations, with deep knowledge of core production processes
• Proven ability to lead and influence experienced operational leaders
• Demonstrated track record of stability and progression in prior roles
• Comfortable operating in a structured, process-driven manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to balance collaboration and accountability
