DVT Electronic Engineering Technician

Position Overview
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of advanced motion control and power electronics products used across industrial automation and other demanding applications.
They are seeking an experienced DVT Electrical Engineering Technician to support the Design Verification Test team. This person will help verify industrial analog and digital motor drives, including power supply products with mixed-signal interfaces and communication ports.
This is a hands-on lab role for someone who is comfortable working with electronic assemblies, test equipment, schematics, soldering/rework, troubleshooting, and test data collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare electronic assemblies for testing
- Probe and measure small and large electrical signals
- Build, crimp, and support cables and harnesses
- Perform soldering and rework on SMT boards
- Troubleshoot and characterize new electronic designs
- Follow and implement procedures to verify hardware designs
- Place thermocouples and support thermal profiling of new and existing designs
- Acquire, organize, and document test results for engineering review
- Participate in testing activities for new designs
- Provide feedback to Engineering on product designs and test results
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electronics Technician
- Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, hi-pot testers, and temperature scanners
- Ability to read and analyze circuits from schematics
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with electronic assemblies
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects or test activities at the same time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Required Education
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical education/experience
Preferred Experience
- Design Verification Testing experience
- Experience with communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, CAN, Ethernet, or EtherCAT
- Data acquisition operation or programming experience
- Programming exposure in C#, C++, VBA, or VB.Net
